New Entrant Electrical Training Programme
City & Guilds Level 2 and Level 3 Electrical Installation training in Glasgow
Start with the fundamentals and build your skills through practical workshop training at Innovo Training Academy. Our programme is designed for people entering the electrical industry, including those changing careers.
You’ll progress through City & Guilds Level 2 and Level 3 Electrical Installation, with further training available in the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and Inspection & Testing. You’ll learn in our Queenslie centre, using our electrical training bays to put theory into practice.
Your training route
City & Guilds Level 2 Electrical Installation (2365-02)
Build your understanding of electrical principles, safe working practices and installation methods. This is the starting point for new entrants.
City & Guilds Level 3 Electrical Installation (2365-03)
Develop your technical knowledge and practical skills further, including electrical design, fault diagnosis, inspection and testing.
18th Edition Wiring Regulations
Learn how to navigate and apply the current BS 7671 requirements. Training and assessment options are available.
Level 3 Inspection & Testing
Develop your skills in inspecting, testing and reporting on electrical installations through a separate LCL Awards qualification.
What happens after Level 3?
Level 2 and Level 3 are important steps, but they do not, on their own, make you a fully qualified electrician. To progress towards qualified-electrician status, you’ll also need to demonstrate competence through an appropriate workplace-based qualification and complete the relevant final assessment. We’ll explain the available progression routes before you enrol.
