Become a Gas Engineer in Glasgow

Our Gas Managed Learning Programme is designed for new entrants who want to build a career as a domestic gas engineer.

You’ll complete industry-recognised theory and hands-on practical training at Innovo Training Academy in Glasgow, followed by 18 weeks of supervised industry experience alongside a Gas Safe registered engineer.

Once your training and portfolio are complete, you’ll return to Innovo for one week of refresher training before completing your initial ACS assessments. The programme includes the LCL Awards accredited Managed Learning Programme, CCN1, CPA1, CENWAT and CKR1.

Choose from full-time, evening and Saturday training routes designed to fit around your work and family commitments. Placement support, refresher training and initial ACS assessments are included.

After qualifying, you can continue developing your skills through our Renewable Bundle, covering Water Byelaws, unvented hot water, low-temperature heating and air-source heat pumps. Further progression is also available through our F-Gas course for engineers looking to work with split air-conditioning systems.
